Reply with quote | #1 | Ok, While leaving my fav. gun store, I decided to check out a new military surplus store. It's only a couple miles down the street from another surplus store which has been there for decades.
This new store has a whole wall covered with airsoft guns. (mostly crappy AEGS) and paintball stuff. They also have a whole store stocked full of very good to new condition surplus items.
http://www.armybarracks.com/index.asp The CT location is so new its not on the website
The place definitely caters to the MIL-SIM crowd, but also a good surplus store as well.
-They also have a small section with police-EMS-fire gear. They give you a 10% discount if you show your badge or military ID.

Is this in Wallingford by any chance? I haven't gone to a good surplus store in a long while, glad to hear one is opening up. Just on a side note, sort of related to this: HotSpot Airsoft is opening up a new location in Stamford CT (also located on Long Isle NY). They are my #1 retailer, and they are hosting an opening weekend on Nov 21 and 22. LINK |

Reply with quote | #3 | It is in Newington. If you take the berlin turnpike northbound, it is going to be on the left hand side. It is definately a good spot to shop if you're into MilSim. plus great surplus. There is another surplus store, same side, half a mile up the road. but not as good.
If you're familiar with Hoffmans gun center, my favorite gun store, then you know where it is. The Amry Barracks store is actually in the old hoffmans store, just past the new store.

Reply with quote | #4 | Very nice tidbit of information there. That should be very close to my school in New Britain, like maybe 20 mins away. |
