Suggestions? Looking for action, a plot(that makes sense) and some good charecters. Also as a side note I've read ALOT of great stuff here that blows some of the books I have read out of the water. Keep it up guys!!! - Also If I read ONE MORE 342 page book that takes place in a Wal-Mart I'm going to go postal!! __________________ Better THEM, than Me!-The only person who could miss with this gun is the sucker with the bread to buy it...... |

Just finished Rhiannon Frater's trilogy "As the World Dies...". Starts very fast, slows a bit in book 2, but finished well in book 3. Excellent read with typical fast and slow zombies.
However, if you hate sexy female leads (it is written by a women), then you won't like these books, but there are strong male supporting characters in it as well. __________________ "A man without a silencer on his weapon is carrier chow." |

I am about done with the second of Lem Barneys books 'Reign of the Dead' and I am enjoying them. His writing is not as good as Z's or a few other IMO, but the books are entertaining, the plot is pretty good and.....well its about zombies! __________________

Reply with quote | #7 | Pick up an anthology book called The Living Dead at Borders a while back. It has over 30 short stories but only a few with the classic Romero undead. Still most are not bad. __________________

I'm actually putting the finishing touches on a story submission for the second installment of that anthology. I sure hope it works out. I'd love to be included in it. __________________ "There are two kinds of men in this world, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig." -The Man With No Name

I snagged that book too while looking for more undead stuff to read a few months back. I'd definitely snag the second one if Z had a story in it. __________________ "There are four ways to turn someone into a zombie. Reply with quote | #13 | Indeed. I picked the book up too and I really liked it. Some of the story's didnt even have zombies in them, they just mentioned zombies in the story. __________________ РоÑÑÐ¸Ñ â€” ÑвÑÑ‰ÐµÐ½Ð½Ð°Ñ Ð½Ð°ÑˆÐ° держава,

I didn't like the living dead that much it was kinda flat. I found the permuted Undead anthology's to be much better. |

His writing is not as good as Z's or a few other IMO, but the books are entertaining, the plot is pretty good and.....well its about zombies! I'll let "Lem" know you liked them and to hurry his ass up and get Reign of the Dead: Outbreak published already! (His name is actually Len Barnhart, and he's a very close friend of mine, LOL!) Here's a little teaser scene for you, I think you'll LOVE it! From Reign of the Dead: Outbreak (TBR? COMING SOON.): Close to the door stood a woman with long jet black hair and coal dark eyes. She stood taller than Chuck who was only five-nine flat footed. Her breasts were full and pert, their nipples easily seen through the thin and skimpy nightie she wore. She shuffled along slowly, leaned to one side. Dried blood caked the left side of her beautifully, ghostly face. Chuck watched, desirous of her in spite of what she had become. "Jesus, look at this Duane." Duane crept closer, "Yeah, I saw her." "A zombie diva," Chuck whispered, "she’s beautiful." "Are you outta your mind, Chuck? She’s dead, dead and rotting. "How do you know they’re rotting?" "They smell bad Chuck. That’s how I know. "I’d do her." "You’re a sick bastard." "You can stand there and tell me you don’t think she’s hot?" Chuck asked. "She’s room temperature Chuck... room temperature. What’s that tell you?" "She’s outside temperature." "Jesus Chuck." Chuck moved closer. "Where have you been all my life beautiful?" "Get away from the door Chuck, they’ll see you." "The glass is tinted." Chuck put his face to the door and licked a trail of saliva a foot long up the glass in front of her. As if on cue, she lunged forward, crashing into the door. Chuck fell backward into the room and landed on the floor and out of sight once more. The woman continued to paw at the door, still retaining an image in her mind of Chuck’s face there. "I told you dammit!" Duane shook his head ruefully. "You’re going to get us all killed!" "See?" Chuck said and grinned, ignoring Duane’s outburst, "She wants me." "She wants to eat you... and not in a good way." __________________"spreadly thin" new term created and attributed to Armydillo978

I got the same impression. I will have to re-read to confirm...In any case. The ending was wide-open for additional novels with some of the main characters (who did not die, of course). __________________ "A man without a silencer on his weapon is carrier chow." |

Yeah it'll be interesting to see where the stories go. I don't think Joe Ledger is going to be dealing with zed in the Dragon Factory, but who knows. It's well-written literature so I'd be happy to indulge if I have the time to pick up a book again. Looks like I used up all my reading minutes over summer. I wish schoolwork didn't eat up my rollovers
EDIT: For a smiley that's supposed to have its tongue out, that one spends way too much time with its mouth closed. __________________ Zombiehunter90@gmail.com
