if that is the case i can see me playing the role of captin franklins xo because of the fact that i am in the navy and i know the ins and outs of the business or even brewster i think i could do him pretty well. just one more thing i was reading both books last weed and in the plague of the dead z.a. says that mitsui is a contractor that speaks perfect english and also speaks several other languages but then in thunder and ashes he cant understand english and jack has to try to explain everything to him other than that great reading i cant wait till survivors comes out

This threads been down for a bit, but since I finished both books and have had a mental picture from the start of each character, I would like to say Z was dead on with Thomas. I pictured Sam Elliott from the beginning. Especially since I have seen 'we were soldiers' countless times. Its like perfect!
I do agree with the Mbutu being played by the guy from blood diamond, Push, etc. Whatever his name is. That's the guy I pictured when he was introduced into the story.
For Krueger I pictured a younger looking Eric Bana.
I think Johnny Messner is closest to what I thought mason looked like. And for sawyer, I couldn't help but picturing Agent Smith from the matrix lol.
I didnt picture anyone specific for Denton, but I would guess Ewan Mcgreggor would pull the role off pretty nicely.
For rebecca, why not Megan fox!?!
I also pictured Sam Shepard as Sherman. At first I hadn't a clue who the guy was that I was picturing but after watching Black hawk down last night on the tube, I figured out his name.
