I understood, but its not like I am going to apologize, I thought it was funny. Personally, in my mind I am fine with a retcon that he didn't speak much English in the main book. Its fiction, its written by, what I gather to be, a first time writer. Z did a damn sight better than I have on any of the stories I have written.

You're the one that pulled out number of posts I make as some sort of yardstick by which I am to be measured. Personally, I don't care how many posts someone has. It could be 1, or it could be 1M. Me, I post when I have time, despite being disabled, I try to keep myself busy. I post when my email blips me that I have a reply to something I posted or a thread catches my eye. I don't post replies to everyone. Heck, if I -wanted- I could ramp up my post count to a thousand in a couple days. Just reply to everything. Post count doesn't matter in the end. If you want a good measuring stick, I'd say join date. You'd have something to go by there.

I don't need to validate myself to you, or anyone else. I am a member, it says so the moment I register...more or less. Even if I did disappear at 49 posts, who cares? I'll still wake up and go about my days unless I'm dead. If I'm dead, who really cares anyhow?

I'm just text on a forum.

Yes he did.  We can both agree on that.  It is one of my favorite zombie books.

Unfortunately we get people who come on here and troll the first few posts and then dissapear.  That was why I mentioned number of posts.  It is VERY unlikely that someone who puts in 300-400 posts is all of a suudden going to start trolling.  You replied in a negative manner suggesting I have no life and post on a forum all day.  We are a nice little group here.  We all joke around with each other.  Kind of like a home away from home kind of thing.  We are all drawn to this site because of our love of the zombie genre and we end up sticking around because the other people are funny and nice.

My personal post count means nothing.  Neither does when someone joins the forum IMO.  We have people who joined before me, but who are not as active.  They come around once every couple months and add a word here or there.  Non of this matters.  My point about the post count was already explained.  If I am not making my point clear on WHY I decided to say what I did then let me know.  I will try to explain it further.

You do not have to validate anything you are right about that, but if your intention was to be welcomed into the community you are doing a poor job of it IMO.  I welcomed you in your Introduction post and obviously do not know you (or do I?  You sound an awful lot like someone who got booted from here a year or so ago becuase of continuing problems with multiple members.), but I am not going to just sit around and watch someone make jokes about a flaw in Z's work without knowing your intentions.  Once again that is why I brought up post count.  ZH says that?  No big deal.  We know where he is coming from.  Army says it?  Same thing.  Someone with 3 posts all 3 of which were directed at a flaw in Z's great book?  Well that is why I brought it up.

If you dissapeared after 39 posts I would think your sole reason to come on this forum was to stir up trouble.  Noone wants to be remembered as a trouble maker do they?  NONE of us are ONLY words on a page.  You, me or anyone else who posts online.  We all have lives and feelings.  Sorry if I hurt yours, but hearing the mistake Z made brought up more than once from the same person made me say what I did.

If I am (and was) wrong about you except my apology and let us move on.

Well I have never been here before so sorry if I sound like someone you knew. I think you've gotten me wrong. I still think the loss of language is funny as heck. This is one of my favorite zombie series my very favorite being Autumn.

I do the same thing for movies, like in that Van Helsing back in 2004. The woman is laying on the ground, a large vein THROBBING in her neck and he says she's dead.

Or Superman, his father having a rollex on his wrist. Why? Because he's Brando darnit!

Anyhow, its not my intent to boost my post count with this, if you have issues with me in the future we can take it to PM or such.

Its been a while since I read the books but when I imagined what Survivors would have in it I couldn't help but keep thinking of Hal and the crew of the ship. Hal was tinkerer (I'm referencing the rail-gun he made back on the island) and very knowledgeable with large machinery. Also I remember that when the crew departed they were in the NW USA (logging country). So with that being said this is what I imagined.

They departed the ship and while searching and they found a logging train. Hal and the crew unhooked most of the cars and fortified what they kept. It would be the natural evolution for them since they are use to working together manning a Navy ship and the fortified train is like a moving land fortress. It would give the means for Hal to be able to transport whatever weaponry he decided create, give the "good guys" something that might stand up to whatever the rogue military forces may throw at them, and since the tracks would eventually run though a city or two; some openings for some pretty intense fighting against hordes of zombies.

Other thing was that Stiles is immune to the morningstar strain only because he had some other illness that was undiagnosed. So the people would have to choose the lesser of the two evils, go unvaccinated or infect themselves with something else that will eventually kill them.

They did that in Ultimate Spider-Man #96, where Spider-Man proved immune to vampire bites because of what the Oz has done to his genes.

I'm super interested (obviously) and i gotta be honest none of the zombie books i've read even touch these, and I so desperately want to know what happens that it's KEEL-ing me!
