well i work at a grocery store and so i have lots of time to both watch people, talk to them and learn a little bit about them.  About 75-85% of the people that come into my store are morbid obesity  to very over weight or have very bad health problems. So it go me thinking, if  the undead were to rise MANY people in the US would be zombie food and just how long i would make it.

so this is question if you were living in a world full of zombies factoring you health, fit level body type and the kind of shape your in now how long you think you could make it? I am talking about just heath not gear, stuff, or skills.

well for me i do have  a heart problem myself that i have to take med for but it's not like if i stop taking the meds i would die today(the doc said maybe i would have a heart attack in 5-15 years) but i am great shape. ever other day i do a half hour of katana  techniques practice and i am getting back in the gym hitting the weights again. I also do a lot of bike ride and i can walk/march with 20 pound of gear for miles. I also do not get sick very much and when i do it not too bad(i have had  the West Nile virus) and i heal up very fast.

Welcome to Death Weapon Meister Academy. More commonly known as the DWMA. It stands as a defense against the forces of zombies , which would plunge the world into chaos and drag humanity into the very depths of fear and madness. The demons known as zombies , and their eternal hunger for destruction. To ensure that zombies never take hold on this world, this Academy was founded. So basically we're an organization that serves to protect and preserve peace! I guess it's not exactly a typical school. Oh well, that isn't important! For now, lets roll up our sleeves and get to work!

I agree that many people in the US would become zombies very quickly.  Between Obesity, diabetes. heart conditions, poor circulation due to blocked arteries, etc., they are all goners....Like the kid said in "Zombieland", cardio is very important.

Physically I think I am in pretty good shape even for my age but psychologically I am not sure if I would have the will to survive if all the people I know and loved were gone.

I'd last about two steps longer than my slower neighbors, and that's all I need to get to the front door.

In some ways, it might help people.  Just think of how many "bad" food and drink types you'd flush from your system in the first few months after they stopped being available...assuming you weren't captured and eaten by a zombie and being flushed from their system.

Yeah, with most of the liqour companies being closed, I wouldn't need to go AA anymore and can use the tokens as objects to throw and distract the zombie hoards with...or to adjust uneven chairs or tables with.

Though, you would have to shop for new clothes on a semi-regular basis that first year as your body adjusts.
