Always wondered why Sherman and his motley crew did not go back to the Raiders camp after the battle in the village.

They could have got scores of ammo, fuel etc and possibly freed more of the imprisoned females. Why do you guys think they didnt do this?

Thank you. I thought the same thing.  If for no reason other than to maybe rescue the girls who had been recaptured by the raider fuckheads during the initial assult.   With the Sheriff and his posse, Sherman and crew could have cleaned out that dean of shitbags, freed the women, and gathered up remaining supplies.

Probably Z just didn't cover it since it wasn't crucial to the main story.  BUT it could be done as a side story.

I always figured the town's people would have taken care of that little chore after Sherman and his crew left. The sheriff knew his stuff...

Didn't they set it on fire?

Definetly Dillo, that's exactly what I thought about it, there could have been a nice collection of arms and munitions as the Raiders seemed to have knocked over an Army supplies

I couldn't tell if Z was implying that raiders were ex-military due to their equipment, or that they had knocked over an armoury somewhere.  I'm leaning towards the 2nd one.

Also, we know that raiders had vehicles (trucks, motorcycles).   I just wouldn't go an leave an open wound like that in my side....leaving the raiders a base they could rebuild from.  An while the sheriff seemed to be adept at his law enforcement job, he wasn't a military thinker, I thought.

And the fact they had pounds of Semtex was a sign that the camp could have been flush with goodies.

Hella yeah!

I guess in the official story line it's a side line, but in fanfic it could be something worth looking into.

Yeah and Iv always wondered if there would be more to come from the introduction of the rail gun on the island. Or was that a side not to prove that the guy was a top engineer?

Thank you...I was thinking about that rail gun as well. They spent a few sentences on it, and then end up going back to the island to get Hal and drag him along.

I think fires in the ZPAW are more serious than that.

Correct....Z-viruses are known to magnify any natural disaster by factors of 10.  The fires become infected and you have a raging ZFire that regular water just cannot tame.  It's a fact, I saw it on the internet.

I'd agree, but the signs are there that the explosion Thomas caused wasn't too bad. The Raiders took plenty time to organise and plan their assault and came extremely well armed. Which tells me they still had access to their munitions, they also recaptured some of the females. Did they just leave them tied to a tree?
