I hope that clears up the confusion you're all feeling. If further elucidation is necessary, let me know.

can i get clarification on what elucidation is?

I understood what you were trying to say from the title.  I couldn't help but start laughing out loud here at work when I started rattling off his list of gear in my head.  It's a little shocking that someone would actually think they can carry as much gear as a video game character and bring along no food, first aid items or what have you.

Case in point... My grocery store doesn't have the flavor of pizza rolls I want on a regular basis during the best of times, why would I trust it to have the bare necessities when the world has gone to hell?  There's no way I'd just cross out food of all things on my list of must have items in the hopes of finding a convenience store still open and stocked after the Apocalypse.

I'll go out on a limb here, but it looks like Z only posted this to show what people shouldn't do in a ZPAW situation, the fact that he's banned has nothing to do with it and it just so happens that the person who originally posted the whole thing was banned for reasons completely unrelated to this thread.  I saw something about him making death threats to other forum members mentioned.

I'm guessing he was banned a long time ago. Like, back over a year ago probably.

I know you're joking, but peoples' vocabularies aren't always up to snuff, so I will...elucidate everyone on this word once more, since I seem to not be able to get my points across, especially in this thread, for some reason.

Clarification = elucidation = enlighten.

Funny thread. FYI- a IMI Uzi when fired in short CONTROLED bursts is suprisingly? Accurate. My first time shooting a full auto UZI I figured the thing would be all over the place - it is if you hold the trigger and rock and roll- pull short bursts dead on target w/ metal folding shoulder stock. Also FYI Silencers are not "movie" quiet,(Myth) they quiet it down but not as much as you would think, you would still attract attention, just not as much.

For Example the M-12 Mac in .380 FA w/ LONG tube silencer makes about as much noise and sort of sounds like shuffling a deck of cards when you push hard on the cards kind of a Phfffffffffftttttttttttt sound. Not to mention the sound of the bolt slamming back and forth. The IMI UZI with the silencer reminded me of a somewhat quiet chainsaw. Also most of the time pros and you tubers are using sub-sonic (read low power) ammo to further shut the thing up

Anyway enough ranting, When does Left4Dead 2 come out!

Is there anything on tv currently that dispels the myths Hollywood perpetuates about guns and other weapons?

I remember catching an episode or two of that Superweapons show, but that seemed more tailored to showing things that make big booms and the host giggling like a schoolgirl as they let him pull the trigger.

It'd be pretty cool if there were a show illustrating just the kind of information a lot of you seem chock full of... Like the silencer bit you just mentioned RZH.  I didn't know they were actually louder than usually depicted.  Never really thought about it to tell you the truth.

seems like a waste of bullets to put 3 or 4 bullets in a zombie when a double tap is all you ever possibly need to take a zombie
plus ill take the sound of shuffling cards to the loud crack of a bullet any day, ringing the dinner bell people
ps sorry i havent been on in a looong while , busy as hell at uni

That DEV character? I've heard a fair amount of people say he was a doucher big time. Judging by his super-awesome ZPAW plan, I'd say that sounds about right. I love strapping myself down with 200lbs of gear and Ramboing my way into a crowd of zombies. That smells of succees.

Have you ever read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac?

In one of the comics, Jhonen Vasquez did a parody of superhero comics.  The woman had breasts so big with a waist so small that the person she was fighting simply tapped her on the forehead and her spine snapped.

I don't recall what was wrong with the guy, but he was ridiculously over muscular with the tiny brain to match and was outsmarted in the simplest of ways.

Basically...  The idea of running into a crowd of zombies loaded down with hundreds of pounds of gear strikes me in the same light as that comic.

Another example... Check out the old Keenan Ivory Wayans movie "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka".  One of the characters does exactly this, while getting ready to head out for the final showdown.  He packs himself down with thirty plus guns and ammo belts... Trips on a stray shell casing on the way out the door and proceeds to blow himself away with all the accidental discharges.

This is why videogames should impart encumbrance restrictions.  With just that little bit of effort, the videogame industry can save so many lives when the SHTF.

Anyone who follows the video games' tips on survival  or the B-movies on ZPAW survival (like DEV with his blowing up the city bit) will be dead. This will be an example of Darwinism at its finest.

Let's just hope the gene pool doesn't get too depleted, so that survival of the species is at stake.  Are there enough MSS board bloggers to save us??

Maybe Z can tell us how many we are and if he has a breakdown of male to female...That way when we all show up at Z's place, we will be somewhat assured of survival.

johnny the homicidal maniac was one of the greatest works of comic fantasy ever with some of the most startling social commentaries i have born witness to.

dont remember the super hero bit mind linking me to it if you can

on another note dev said he wanted carbon dioxide bombs.....i mean come on what possible use do they have, he probably picked a couple words that sounded cool

It'd be interesting to see some sort of spider web type deal of how many people would be saved by MSS Forum-goers.  Like, here's DocT and because of him 15 people have survived, because of these 15, these 24 have survived... So on and so forth.

I went checking, I thought it was one of the meanwhiles in Johnny, but it turns out its a meanwhile from Squee.  Probably one of the later issues.  I'm not sure where all my individual comics snuck off to, but I have multiple compilations of both and its basically right at the end of the Squee compilation.

P.S.  What the heck are carbon dioxide bombs?

Don't you wish you could sometimes though?  Like, you're sitting at a buffet and you just wish you could destroy your entire plate to grab some more before any of those other greedy buggers get their hands on it?  Maybe not.
