I was going to post something about it on Saturday. However, I felt it would be appropriate to let everyone self reflect on where they are and have been for the past two years.

Wow...

I find it odd that I had no clue about Mr.Rechts passing until its second anniversary...but, sadly, it came to my attention as I did a web search in regards to any novel that may have been following Thunder and Ashes.

I must say, I was very new to Mr.Rechts literature, but found it to be utterly amazing.  I am a slow reader, as I find books playing out in my head "movie style," more so than word to word...needless to say, I was saddened by the information that I found, regarding the fact that he had left us.

Anyway, for what it is worth, two years after the fact...Mr.Recht, I am sorry to see that you have gone, you were a great author, and probably much more.

He was a cool dude that participated in this forum all the time.  He was a regular guy who liked to banter back and forth.  RCS is still VERY active on here and probably knew him the best out of all the regular posters.  It was a VERY weird/sad day on the forum that day.  I never personally met Zach, but he was always so cool talking back and forth....I even went back and copied and pasted some of our conversations off the forum so I could always look back on them in case something happened to the forum.  One was a list of what was in his BOB and the other was about a zombie video game.

I'd say fairly active.  Xbox Live and work stole most of my soul, you guys got the leftovers

But JBK is right.  He was always on here, shooting the shit like he was one of us because he was one of us.  He didn't put himself on a pedastal like other successful writers.  That was one of the many coolest things about him.
