Today I was thinking, I live next to a large army base. I was wondering, how good or bad would that be during an outbreak?

Think we'd be safer or less so?

Hell no.  Get away.  Provided they did screen and quarantine the bitten people--who's to say one sneaks through undetected and spreads it throughout the camp.

Another problem would be the amount of noise the army would be making would draw more and more zeds, so you'd end up being in a stand-off with no way out.

it would be good to remember it and raid it later after zeds and people are gone. achualy zeds you might want a way to empty it of them.

You go right on ahead.  I like the woods and lying low just fine.

Yeah the movie The Crazies kind of catalogs it nicely IMO.

NP and it is not REALLY a zombie movie, but it is REALLY good IMO.  I just saw it for the first time last night.

It's a really good movie--not all that action packed but the storyline is well done.

Not too bad a movie, I had a few flubs I picked up on that sort of irked me but otherwise it was pretty good.

I just thought overall the movie was shot very good and I liked the idea behind it.  The imagery in the movie was pretty good.  Shot locations and such.  The corn machine with the lights at night, the sheriff and the wife hugging with the house burning down in the back round....that sort of thing.

Plus the sheriff was the main character from Deadwood...ALWAYS a plus IMO.

I liked the ending also.  Kind of like a self perpetuating nightmare.  You can NEVER get away alive.

I tried to find a thread on it the other day so I could take my comments there, but I got busy at work.

No way. I've given this thought and my answer is NO.

People will flock to an army base and what will follow them and spead through them? Yeah zombies.

Yeah I live near a huge military base. The only issue I have is crowding. I think it would just get too populated, thus increasing the hazard.

But in a real-world scenario, it's scary living next to a huge military base for other reasons. I imagine military bases may be targets as far as an invasion or an attack on the US goes, so I really wouldn't want to be living 2 miles down the road from one if we got attacked. I'd be fuckin roasted.
