I saw Godzilla today. Let me rephrase that I forced myself to sit through most of this overblown cliched crap till I heard the main scientist start to say the old...arrogance of man.... sermon and could not take it anymore and walked out.
But hey that's just me. I like a movie with at least one of these elements. Characters that you could enjoy, a plot that actually makes sense in the framework of story and a bit of unpredictability. This movie had none of that.

Wow!  You sure you saw the right one?  I wouldn't know though, I've only heard things.  But your the first I've heard that didn't love it.  Thank you!  Now when my overblown expectations are shattered I won't be mad at all my idiot friends.  I still wanna see it though.

To be fair the special effects were good.
You have to remember that I have been watching movies for around 60 years especially sci-fi and horror. So I may be a bit jaded.

Meh.  Special effects are everywhere now.  These days, it's not unreasonable to expect that movies come with a LITTLE something more.  Just a tiny bit.  I know it's just Godzilla, but, I don't know...  It's a valid observation I guess is what I'm saying.
