In World War Z. the living dead are called ZACK. its like 'charlie for the viet-cong.'  what nicknames do u think they should have. I like Necros, pissbags and deads.

Call signs for certain objects or people must be understandable even in poor reception conditions. Speakers will come from all parts of the US, who have different accents or pronunciations and even worse, English is their second language...

That's why "Zack" was probably used. Necros can be confused with Negroes, while to me pissbags and deads do not have any  "hard" consonants or syllables.

I pick Zees or Omegas (last letter in Greek alphabet) as my call signs for Zombies!

Zeds....though I don't know where I first heard that. I've been calling them Zom's in some of my earlier fiction.

Warning:  The post herein uses profanity appropriate to a shit hitting the fan scenario such as a zombie apocalypse.  Aw crap, I just used profanity in the warning about profanity.  Well, yeah... My callsign is profane.  You've been warned.

Fuckers.

As in... "Get those fuckers!"
And the ever popular... "That fucker got me!"

I like Zed and have been using it for quite a while. I think the first place I saw Zed used was World War Z.

"ive had it with these motherfuckin' zombies on this motherfuckin field"

id like to think in the uk that people would be able to communicate, but most of the population are f**kin idiots and would die shortly after the outbreak. me on the other hand, im a longer, and would only receive messages, i wouldnt transmit due to my paranoia and "raiders" wanting ma' shit

I love it. "Romeo Charlies" has that military way of saying things as most troops would quickly change "Re-animated Corpses".

I'd probably respond, on the assumption that those who were listening would most likely not know how to track radio frequencies like the FCC can.

Then again, that might get me raped and killed.

i'd call 'em "nutty squirrels". i got that from a book i read called blood crazy. they made up a nice way to say murderous crazy people so as not to scare the younger fighters. plus nutty squirrel is way more likable and it kinda makes you smile....thats just me.
