Thom Brannan!  Thom's short work has appeared in various publications, and he's also done freelance editing work for Permuted Press.  See his on-going serial at Dark Tomorrow, as well as links to find his other work.

Thom is also hard at work on his new post-apocalyptic novel LORDS OF NIGHT for Permuted Press.  Follow news on that project here.

About LORDS OF NIGHT:

The Ancient Enemy has risen from the depths of time and turned the world into a darkened and desolate place. The last outposts of humanity are hidden in the sewers, guarding against patrolling hordes of walking dead and their overseers, the sadistic and inhuman Locust People.

Struggling to survive in a New York sewer enclave is Jack. But he has an edge: a growing growing psychic power he uses to fight the Enemy's lieutenants.  With the world at stake, Jack and a team of ex-Special Forces operatives set off on a quest to find an artifact from the dawn of time that will put an end to the Ancient Enemy's reign and restore the world. But what will Jack have to become to defeat an evil older than Mankind?

Definitely not I. Regardless of what you're name is, you're still the man.

You're welcome!

There's a face here: Amazon Author's Page. I apologize ahead of time for the quality of the picture. (It's spot on, I'm just funny-looking.) I'm also a little miffed that Leather, Denim & Silver isn't showing up on that page. Harrumph.

No Kewpie doll for me either. I was off by miles. Thanks all the same. You know what we will all be doing in December.

While this has no reflection on Mr. Brannan, and I too thank him for his work.  That said I'd like to know what percentage of the finished book was written by Z and what was written by Mr. Brannan!

I believe that was one of those things someone (higher in the food chain than I) decided was best left unsaid. And I agree.

For your piece of mind, read the book for enjoyment. Credit Z for whatever rocks your socks off and blame me for the things you don't like. That should make everybody happy.

Let me ask you then, and it's nice to be able to address the man responsible.  Are you happy with the outcome?  Im sure youve read both previous books.  Do you feel the third works well with and completes the storyline?

Thank you for all the hard work.

Tom

I think the third book takes the loose ends from Plague and T&A and ties them up in a bow, tightly enough so that there is a definite "end," but the knot is loose enough to let you, the reader, take the surviving Survivors past the last pages of the book.

I'm content with the way with the story resolves itself; if I wasn't, I would not have turned it in. And there are some moments of the narrative that I'm really happy with and proud of.

One of them, and I think it's the only part I'm going to say I put in there, is the retelling of Z's grandfather's slit-trench story from WWII.

I took a look at Thom's picture and info. from the link he posted.  A former submariner and Rad worker?  Ha, I worked for Zetec here in Washington for Twenty years doing steam generator inspections on LA boats, Boomer's and Carriers.  I'm very familiar with Rad Con work on/with Naval vessels.

Thom, were you a Nuc school Navy guy??
